Carl, I still haven't reviewed my Poincaré. It was good to see you at Evelyn's last year. It appears we both were right and both wrong at the nuclear energy debate fifteen odd years ago. Wottaworld! Keep on trucking -- sailing, that is. Carroll.

Good work on the site, Carl. We have to upgrade some of the photos, though. Remind me to bring my camera the next sailing trip. P.S.-I do have lots of pictures without the beard (and others you might pay for!)

hit page when yahooing "sailing humor", I spelled it the yankee way - anyhow, I'm an avid sailor in Ontario (Can) on Lake Ontario (CS30), and always have some sailing trivia at my club, looking for interesting and humourous items - always. email happy2b@hotmail.com (I don't use my work email cause I hope my stay here is temporary) Your vessel looks like Cat 28 or 320? nice. We have a 32 in the club with the regular transom. The owners just love it. Thanks. Dennis

I CAN NOT GET MY GRADE. I'VE SPOKEN TO SEVERAL OTHERS AND THEY CAN'T GET THEIRS EITHER. SO I DON'T KNOW IF I SHOULD STUDY FOR THE FINAL OR NOT. THIS STINKS. I THINK YOU SHOULD GIVE EVERYONE A REALLY GOOD GRADE!

Hey Dr. Adler. First, I can't find my schedule with my password on it, nice time for it to get lost, huh!!! If you could e-mail me with either my final grade or my number, I would really appreciate it. Secondly, I tried to sign on with my friends password and the screne stays blank - why is this??? We are trying to figure out whether to take the final or not and this is making it rather difficult!! Please be in touch as soon as possible. Thank you very much, Jill

Your page is great, but I'm having trouble finding an answer to a sailing physics problem: I am trying to calculate speed vectors for a sailboat simulator that I am currently programming. I do not have the proper formula for calculating (or simulating) the proper vacume/ lift when a sailboat is pointing. I am simply looking for a ruff aproximation of this behavior. Can you point me in the right direction? This is my parteners e-mail: MartinLiu@lightspeed.bc.ca Thanks for your time.

Will revisit often. Thanks for putting forth so much effort--well, maybe for you it wasn't any effort at all! Where were you creative teachers when I was in school--ha. Good luck to your students.

I finally got in and enter my URL. Somehow my roomates computer, after I logged on and the picture on your page came out fuzzy, he beleives that somehow your computer or the internet gave him a virus. He now complains that in a CD-ROM game NASCAR, that the sound is now blown off. He believes that it was caused by me logging onto your page. Is this possible? I don't think so. He has tried loading the game in again but the sound continues to not work. I may stop by your office next week, but if I don't and you think this may have even been caused by Compuserve or something please contact me. I do not have a permant E-mail address right now. If you wouldn't mind calling me at home at 756-0677, if you get the machine just ignore it, (it is a little vulgar.) I appreciate the time, and also getting me to use the Internet. It is an excellent source of information, and I even bought a guitar and I found it for $200 dollar
